Anticipation grows for the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Running Festival: over 1,000 international runners already registered
News also for the 51Km Ultra Trail race course
With five months to go before the event, the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Running Festival confirms its international appeal, boasting over 1,600 registrations to date โmore than 1,000 of which are from runners of 46 different nationalities and 35 foreign countriesโ marking an overall increase of 107% compared to 2024.
Reinforcing the eventโs appeal as a sports-tourism destination are participants from Central and Northern Europe, with large groups coming from Austria, Germany, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Estonia. But thatโs not all, as on December 6 and 7, runners that will race through the Prosecco Hills of Conegliano and Valdobbiadene are also coming from as far as Australia, Brazil, and Canada.
Another hallmark of the event continues to be the strong female presence, with women making up 54% of total registrations.
The big news for the 2025 edition concerns the race dedicated to trail lovers: the second edition of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Ultra Trail 51Km will once again lead trail runners along the official route of the Cammino delle Colline di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene, but with a major change compared to 2024. This year, the start will take place in Vittorio Veneto, with the finish line in Vidor, effectively reversing the course.
This change not only brings a significant technical variation, placing the toughest section (the climb of Monte Baldo) at the beginning, but also allows all participants to finish at the heart of the eventโs Village. On Saturday, December 6, trail runners will be welcomed by all the participants present in Vidor to collect their race kits for Sundayโs events, a great opportunity for the crowd to reward the efforts of the trail finishers with warm applause.
An additional refreshment point will also be added along the course (bringing the total to 4), offering both the essential technical supplies required for this type of race and traditional local Venetian products..
“Weโre working to improve the running experience both technically and in terms of tourism,โ says Race Director Mauro Miani. โAfter the first edition, it became clear that this is a unique race, tackled not only by experienced trail runners but also by walkers looking to challenge themselves while appreciating the scenic and gastronomic context. The Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Ultra Trail will thus offer the perfect mix between a technically demanding course with repeated climbs and descents, and an undeniably spectacular landscape, with plenty of opportunities to truly savor the experience.โ
Save the date: December 5, when the dedicated Village will open at the Centro Polifunzionale in Vidor (TV), hosting side events focused on running and local food and wine.
